2010 MTV Movie Awards
(Mark Burnett Productions for MTV)
Associate Producer
Returning to the production of the Movie Awards for the fourth consecutive year, there was still no lack of excitement or dull moments during the 2010 broadcast. A-list talent from Tom Cruise to Sandra Bullock (who was awarded the MTV Generation Award) made appearances on this year’s live show. The multi-week production process included brainstorming creative show moments, producing pre-show event entertainment and selection of media and clips from nominated films. Clips appeared in both the nomination broadcast packages as well as elements used in the stage design for various scenic looks on the “virtual set.”

Business Professionals of America (BPA)
National Leadership Conference
(Cybis Communications for BPA)
Event Producer & Director
There was no lack of glitz and glamour when BPA needed a Hollywood-style general session and awards show to fit their conference theme “Shoot for Success.” Working with Orlando-based Cybis Communications, BPA received the red carpet treatment. This arena show awarded the top performers in BPA in an edgy Hollywood production with a Southern California twist. Guests were interviewed on the red carpet upon entering the arena for the awards show, while audience members inside enjoyed the live red carpet show before the main event began. Multiple live cameras and different video sources during the show provided an exciting challenge, but the production was executed flawlessly. Many on-site video shoots and pre-produced segments included conference attendees and made this a memorable experience for all.

(Mark Burnett Productions for CBS)
Associate Producer
The People’s Choice Awards, an annual event broadcast live on CBS, honors actors and artists selected by fans. This event presented over a dozen awards in a two-hour special and featured exclusive movie clips, live music performances and unforgettable spoof films with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The multi-month planning process included the collection and coordination of dozens of clips from nominated films, television shows and music videos. A particular challenge during the night of the event was an integration of personal consumer cameras from event sponsor Kodak, into the live show. Working with an on-site team, Kodak video cameras were used and given to celebrities to shoot event highlights. Footage from these cameras was immediately collected and then broadcast on the show just moments later.
